Definition
AGI with certain items added back. Different rules use different MAGI definitions: NIIT, IRMAA, and ACA subsidies each compute their own version.
For ACA purposes, MAGI adds back nontaxable Social Security; for NIIT it adds back foreign earned income exclusions.
